About

Agile and independent - built to deliver

Miles Advisory, LLC is a DC Metro-based consulting practice founded to do the part of strategy and operations consulting that many firms sell but few finish: the execution.

Alex Miles

Alex Miles

Founder and Principal Consultant

Alex helps growing organizations scale by redesigning how work gets done and applying AI where it makes sense. Much of his work has been in document-heavy, regulated environments. He led delivery of a 0-to-1 AI loan origination platform for a specialty lender, reaching 96%+ extraction accuracy across 4,000+ documents. He also redesigned incentive payment operations at a major financial exchange, which supported a 54% reduction in turnaround time.

Alex brings 10+ years of experience in consulting and business development, including building a new BD unit from scratch, and securing $120M+ in new revenue.

His engagements run from the initial assessment through adoption: identifying where time and cost accumulate, redesigning the process, building AI-enhanced workflows with human review and guardrails, and training teams so the new process holds. Before founding Miles Advisory, he was a Managing Consultant in Guidehouse's Financial Services practice.

Alex leads every engagement personally. Where specialist skills are needed, the firm brings in a small network of trusted independent practitioners rather than staffing a pyramid.

What we believe

The convictions behind the firm

Strategy that cannot be executed is not strategy

A recommendation without an owner, a sequence and a cost is an opinion. We do not deliver opinions.

The constraint is almost never the model

Data quality, process design, decision rights and trust decide whether AI works in an organization.

Small is a feature

Deliberately selective, with few clients at a time. We take on work that we know we can deliver, and devote the attention required to achieve your goals.

Let us look at the problem together

A first conversation is a working session, not a sales call. Bring the ambition, the constraints and the skepticism.
